Teufel Aureol Melody In-Ear-Headphones Test

Submitted by el on Sun, 11/27/2011

There are thousands of In-Ear-Headphones. There are some in any color, there are some with good or with bad sound, there are some comfortable and some uncomfortable ones. Well, the producer Teufel launched new In-Ear-Headphones some weeks ago. You will get to know in this review

whether the quality is as fine as the other products from the

manufacturer from Berlin.

Technical Data

Cable length: 1,10m

Impedance: 16 Ohm

Frequency range from/to: 20Hz – 20kHz

Connection: 3,5mm stereo-mini-bolt

Weight: 10 g

Scope of Supply

  • Teufel Aureol Melody In-Ear-Headphones
  • Transport-case
  • instruction manual
  • 3 pairs of silicon adapters

Design & Handling

Although the design is very similar to the Aureol Groove there are some differences to find now: The main body is now red instead of white but there still is the white middle with the red “Teufel-T” The anthracite colored neodym-magnet is unchanged and continues helping the drivers membrane to swing.

Also not changed are the white silicone adapters in three sizes. They are changed in seconds and if you wear the right one you hear nothing from the world around you. The cable of the Aureol Melody by Teufel became some thicker compared with the Teufel Aureol Groove. The Headphones are still connected by the gold-plated 3,5mm-Stereo-mini-bolt.

Sound Quality

Let's come now to the most important part of the headphone: the sound quality. Teufel is famous for its great sound quality and this sound quality could ever convince us yet. Also at the Teufel Aureol Melody we couldn't find anything negative in the sound quality. It has a great sound with a great bass. The sound is some different from the Teufel Aureol Groove: The bass became some better although it was already great at the old product.

Result

The Teufel Aureol Melody is great product of Teufel. We never saw any better In-Ear-Headphones. We can just recommend anyone who loves good music on the way to buy those great headphones. Of course the price of £69.99 isn't cheap but it's a great investment if you often listen to music on the way.
