The manufacturer of the Motiv 3 writes about their sound system that they always get the same reaction: “this speaker system draws a sympathetic smile from everyone who sees it. Because the main components of this set are five unusual little satellite speakers in a spherical shape, supported by an alluring little subwoofer.” But the sound should be still absolutely serious, says Teufel.

The shipment of the loudspeaker system includes five satellite speakers with a wall-mounted frame or optionally magnetic feet and one subwoofer with an electricity cable. The tiny little speakers with the size of 11 x 11 x 13 cm are able to handle 50 watt sinus and 70 watt music power – the subwoofer (28 x 26.50 x 32 cm) has a sinus power output capacity (RMS) of 110 watt and an output performance amplifier of 150 watt.

Teufel has probably invested a lot of time for the design of the five identical satellite speakers. They look like a little black sphere with a silver coloured ring and the Teufel logo in the front. The subwoofer is a little cube which fits in every corner of most rooms.

To get a good sound quality Teufel has a recommendation list, which contains, for example the Denon AVR 1509 5.1 AV receiver. In our tests with the named receiver we’ve got a fabulous sound quality with every kind of audio like DVD, PC sound or MP3. The five satellite speakers have produced a nice ambient sound with good tweeter performance. The “little subwoofer” takes care about the bass and gives for example movies a sound-experience, which is not far away from the cinema-audio-experience. Another advantage is the fact that the satellite speakers are all identically. This makes the sound smoother so the listeners have more comfort hearing the Teufel Motiv 3.

Finally we want to say that the Teufel Motiv 3 was able to satisfy us at every point. The installation and wiring is easy, the Design of the speakers looks great and modern, the system has a good quality of material and last but not least you’ll get a high-class sound system for an absolute fair price.
