One of the most popular PC speaker systems in Teufel’s product line is the 2.1 system Motiv 2. The manufacturers’ ambitious goal was “to build the best fully active 2.1 speaker set for multimedia applications”. We’ve spend some days to find out how good the speakers really are.

First of all we want to inform you about the shipment from Germany which is free of charge. The package includes one A200/3 SW Subwoofer, two Satellite Speakers “MO 2 F” with the compatible wall fitting accessories, a 10 meter loudspeaker cable, a stereo-cinch-cable, a multi-language manual and a little remote control.

The design of the Motiv 2 is similar to its big relative, the Motiv 5. Like some other new design-lines - with the Teufel Motiv 2 you can choose whether you like the speakers in black or white. The painting looks glossy so it’s even more important that the quality of work has no defects. After many years of Teufel product tests we’re pretty sure that the quality of material and paint is Teufel’s speciality. As usual the quality of the Motiv 2 was perfect like every Teufel speakers before.
If you like the colour of Apple products you should choose the white colour loudspeakers; they look pretty similar to the well-known Apple consumer electronics.

At the flip side of the subwoofer you’ll find all the interfaces. There are many opportunities to connect your audio sources to the Teufel system like one Cinch-input, two Mini-jack-inputs and an output for headphones.
In the top view Teufel has build in the IR-receiver and some buttons to control the loudspeaker system without remote control.

The subwoofer has an integrated amplifier with an output performance of 300 watt and a power output capacity sinus (RMS) of 200 watt. The satellite speakers are able to handle a continuous power input of 70 Watt and a pulse load capacity of 100 Watt. In all of our testing the audio quality was incredibly good. It doesn’t matter if you only want to listen to some smooth music or to pump it up to the limits. With the Teufel Motiv 2 you’re able to listen to music in the volume you like and always in best sound quality.
