Teufel presented its first complete DVD surround sound system, the Impaq 400, already a few years ago. Still it is one of the top selling products because of excellent quality of material and audio output. This HI-FI system makes it possible to watch DVDs, and enjoy first-class sound with an illusion of surround at a very fair price.

The shipment includes one receiver with integrated DVD player, a subwoofer, two satellite speakers, foots for the satellites, an antenna for the radio tuner, a manual and some cables.
The amplifier has a RMS power output of 2x 25 Watt sinus and 2x 50 Watt music. The subwoofer is able to handle up to 100 watt sinus and 150 watt music power. A radio tuner with UKW and MW has 60 station memory positions, which can be chosen with the remote control.

The satellite loudspeakers, the subwoofer and the receiver have a black painting with a silver Teufel logo and two white stripes on the subwoofer and receiver. All parts of the system have an unbelievable good quality of material; you will not believe how good it is, till you have seen it with your own eyes.
Installing the system is easier than ever before because the installation manual is written very detailed, so you are able to read every detail about the perfect position, the best connection methods and so on.
The interface possibilities are another positive aspect of the Teufel Impaq 400, there is a big variety of in- and outputs like one for headphones, a digital optical output, a digital coaxial output, a stereo cinch input, a digital optical and another coaxial input, USB and with an optional iTeufel Dock there is the possibility to connect your personal iPod to the Impaq 400 directly.
The DVD player which is build into the receiver can handle many different formats like MP3, Divx, SVCD and so on. The remote control has not only many features and an attractive design, but is also perfect to use because of the great transfer, which allows you using it around corners.

There is a lot more we could write about but the most interesting is always the sound quality. We are absolutely fascinated about the ideal audio quality that the Impaq 400 is always producing. Teufel is talking about a maximum room size of 25 sqm but we think this can be some more sqms. We think that the Teufel Impaq 400 is one of the best speaker systems at that price range so we give our recommendation for this home cinema speaker system.
